DRIVING
Driving times from ports:
Bilbao
3hrs; Santander 4hrs; St Malo 10hrs; Cherbourg/ Le Havre/Caen
11hrs; Calais/ Boulogne 12hrs.
We can provide
route guides. A crossing into Northern Spain (Bilbao/ Santander)
gives a very easy drive to Bareges. Otherwise a crossing to one
of the more westerly Channel ports saves time, best driving route
via Bordeaux, the A64 autoroute passes close to Lourdes.
TRAIN
Take the EUROSTAR train through the TUNNEL to Paris
from where the TGV ATLANTIQUE serves Lourdes five times daily
from Montparnasse station. There is also a nightly sleeper "couchette"
from Paris Austerlitz. There is a bus connection from Lourdes
station to Bareges. London - Lourdes from £125 return,
book a month ahead to benefit from early booking discounts. French
Railways (SNCF) also offer excellent value "railrover"
and family railcards. Highly recommended by all who come this

CAR
HIRE
A car booked
in advance in the UK through any of the other main car hire operators
(Hertz, Avis, Budget, Europcar etc.) offers up to a 100% saving
on the rates available in France from £125 per week. Most
major companies have an office at Pau airport. Avis have an office
at Lourdes railway station.
HOW TO BOOK...
PAY EITHER BY CHEQUE OR CREDIT CARD
1. Having confirmed availability
with us, send your completed booking form with a deposit of £100
per person for hotel accomodation or 30% of total cost for apartments.
Pay either by UK cheque or send us your credit card details.
You can email your booking
to us. Please note that credit card payments are accepted in
euros converted from sterling using the inter-bank exchange rate
of the day
2. Upon receipt of your
booking form we will send you our booking confirmation. The balance
of your holiday costs must be paid eight weeks before departure
date, bookings made within this time must be accompanied by the
full payment.
3. Once a booking has
been confirmed deposits are neither transferable nor refundable.
4. Guided activities
and transport trips are paid for in France in euros.

INSURANCE
Please ensure you have adequate insurance to cover
medical expenses, cancellation etc.
We strongly
recommend that you have the new European Health Insurance Card
(EHIC) which replaces the E111, this enables most medical costs
to be refunded through the social security system.
CANCELLATIONS
Cancellations must be made in writing and will
be effective from the date received. The following scale of charges
will apply; six weeks and less notice 20% four weeks and less
40% three weeks and less 60% two weeks and less 80% one week
and less 100%.
